Wood carving knives

The wood carving knives are made of tool steel or high-speed steel. Their handles are always made of a handy hornbeam. As they are heat-treated hard and their edge angle is very sharp, it is advisable to use them in soft wood, linden and alder. If we want to carve into a harder wood, it is worth to sharpen the edge angle to a bit more blunt. We have to take particular care in order not to perform harping movements with the blade tips, as they can easily break out.
